Playing in the atmospheric setting of Oran Mor should suit The Unwinding Hours right down to the ground. Their dark and emotive alternative style echoes Oran Mor’s characteristics perfectly. Having witnessed their inaugural perfomance at Chemikal Underground’s 15th Anniversary back in January, it is fair to say they have lost none of the raw and gritty sound made so popular by a certain Aerogramme before them. Of course its all to easy to reel off endless comparisons with Craig B and Iain Cook’s cult previous band so lets just focus on the present matter. Its in their hands to build on aerogrammes popularity and judging by their eponymous debut album released in February they are definately armed and ready.
Gig attendees can also expect an interesting acoustic appearance from the twilight sad and support from RM Hubbert so not to be missed! (DH)
